Day 3:
We decided to go on a hike to see a waterfall
Coffee first was definitely necessary
I'd never seen poison oak before... I did not touch
haha, "anger"
We made it!
There wasn't a whole lot of "nature" to be had. Garrick wanted to see a bear but I was perfectly happy with just the butterflies in the parking lot
That evening, we went to Davey Crockett (?) minigolf

Day 4
After going on such a nice hike the day before, we decided to try another. This one was much more rustic (no paved walkways) and we didn't quite make it to the waterfall this time.
But a little farther down was Ogles Cabin - the first homestead to be built in Gatlinburg. It was built in 1802 and is still in very good condition. There was also a stream behind the barn.
Yes, the doors really are that short - this was the front door.

We thought we'd check out hillbilly minigolf that night.
The whole thing is built into the side of the mountain and you have to take a little tram to get to the course.
Unfortunately we didn't check the forecast first and we ended up getting rained out after the 3rd hole. :( But there was a beautiful mountain rainbow afterwards!
We headed back home the next morning - it was a really great vacation!!
